To become more effective and efficient, we've mechanized a number of critical operations at the nursery:

• We mechanized the planter used to transplant cuttings.
  
  
• We developed an automated color coding system that can mark as many trees in one hour as it once took an entire crew to finish in one day.
  
  
• We created a row cultivator that can rototill and chop weeds across four rows simultaneously.
  
  
• We devised a machine that more efficiently cuts the tops and sides of trees following budding.
  
  
• We designed a harvester that not only digs the trees, but shakes the dirt loose from the roots.
  
  
• We developed a tree washer that makes processing easier and helps assure more thorough grading.
  
  
• And, we optimized our handling operations in the warehouse by installing conveyor belts to grade trees more efficiently.
